To Maine with Love is a heartfelt tribute to the beauty, spirit, and quiet wonder

of Maine. Blending poetry and pastel artwork, this father-daughter collaboration celebrates the landscapes, wildlife, and coastal charm that make the state unforgettable.

From rocky shorelines to pine forests, each poem pairs with a vivid image to capture moments of

connection with place, nature, and memory. With its unique format—including detachable postcards that invite readers to share a piece of Maine with others—this book is both a keepsake and an offering.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Christi Hille is a writer and creative living in Bangor, Maine. With over a decade of experience working in art galleries across the country, including in Santa Fe and Los Angeles, Christi has developed a deep appreciation for the power of place and storytelling. She draws inspiration from Maine’s rugged landscapes, vibrant seasons, and close-knit communities. To Maine with Love is her first book and a heartfelt tribute to the state she now calls home, her partner, Brian, and her daughter, Norah, who was born there.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Jim Hille, Christi’s father, is an architect emeritus and lifelong artist living in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Working primarily in pastels, Jim’s work is often characterized by a bold yet intimate approach to color, light, and atmosphere. His pieces often celebrate the quiet beauty of the natural world. Collaborating with his daughter on To Maine with Love allowed Jim to blend his artistic vision with Christi’s words in a project that honors both family and place.

Together, Christi and Jim bring their combined talents in writing, art, and design to create a book that is both a keepsake and a love letter to Maine.
