by Lou Zambello
Thousands of fly fishers have come to know veteran writer, guide, and educator Lou Zambello through his books and columns, presentations, classes, blog posts, and social media.
In his fourth book, I’ll Be Home for Dinner, Unless There’s a Hatch, Lou pulls back the curtain on a life lived in waders and words. With warmth, wit, and wry humor, he takes readers on a journey that drifts from intimate brook trout waters in his home state to far-flung waters around the world—joined often by his wife, Lindsey, and family. Lou also reveals the realities behind guiding, adventure travel, and the craft of writing guidebooks and how-to manuals—the long travel days and the discoveries made both on and off the water. No surprise, the book is filled with insightful “guide” tips, patterns, and streamside observations. Part memoir, part adventure, and part love letter to small streams and wild trout, this book will leave readers laughing, learning new fly-fishing approaches, and longing to grab a rod and explore
