by Martha Moore Davis
Vanishing stories about a vanishing way of life. Martha Moore Davis chronicles events on an Iowa farm in the 1950s and 1960s that become her โtrue north, a compass in times of doubt, crisis, or crossroads.โ She invites the reader to experience the seasons of Rose Hill Farm and asks, โWhat is your true north?โ
A family photo album and Davisโs love of her Brownie Hawkeye camera inspired her to tell stories that would otherwise be lost. Through a selection of prose and photographs, she shares the stories. Martha Davis encourages readers to make sense of their own experiences and to find themselves on familiar ground.

Charming and evocative.
