by Sarah Rhinelander

A little poem about quitting…and beginning.

“Recovery was lifesaving at the start, when I ran out of my reason and was out in the cold.”

So begins one chapter in a decades-long healing journey.
This is a poem about reaching the other end of that chapter, finding courage in the oddest of places, and recognizing when it is time to put all of those years of recovery to work.
