by Charlene Vanderslice
For countless millennia, a line of women has been the steward of a particularly powerful relic, a symbol of goodness and light. In the right hands, this relic can make things happen—move things…big things. The mermaid stone can save people in distress, and bring Light to dark places, but in the wrong hands its enormous powers can be used to create evil on a world scale. Set in the natural beauty of Penobscot Bay and its surroundings, The Mermaid Stone captures the enduring conflict between these opposing forces.

Epic in scope but intimately focused, The Mermaid Stone is a novel of spiritual adventure.
—Andrew Beahrs, author of Twain’s Feast: Searching for America’s Last Food in the Footsteps of Samuel Clemens, The Sin Eaters, and Strange Saint
