ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Susan Cueto was a paraprofessional for over twenty-five years, working for the Shelton, Connecticut, board of education, specializing in preschool and behavioral management. After retiring to Bradenton, Florida, with her husband, Joseph, she just couldn’t stay away from the classroom, accepting a job as a substitute paraprofessional and teacher for elementary schools around Manatee County, Florida. She is mother to two daughters, Suzanne and Michelle, and a grandmother to Alexandria and Joseph.
Susan was inspired to write her first children’s book, Joey’s Preschool Jitters, after noticing that her grandson, Joseph (Joey), was experiencing fear and anxiety over his first day of preschool. Drawing from her years of experience, she put together a story in hopes its message will help many young children assuage their apprehension of starting school.
