by Margaret Thayer Paige

Two minutes after peeing in a cup, the consequence of having unprotected sex paralyzed Maggie. The words, “You’re pregnant” reverberated on the bare walls of the clinic. Fifteen years old, class president, honor student, and dumped by her boyfriend the night before, Maggie had few options. She decided to hide the pregnancy. The Kid in Me: A Personal Account of My Teen Pregnancy, is an honest account of the emotional journey a teenager travels when hiding her pregnancy from everyone.
