by Sima Haigh

All days are different. Every morning when I wake up, I still have to decide if I am going to be a victim or a survivor. I won’t lie; there are still days that I make the wrong decision. I suppose it’s a decision I will have to continue to make for the rest of my life.

One out of every four women is Acadia sexually assaulted. For Paige Knight, the truth of becoming part of that statistic plagues her when her choice was taken. Escaping her fear, Paige decides to move away with the hopes of transforming from a victim to a survivor. Although she wants to tell her new friends the truth, she is afraid to admit her shame. Others want her to move on, but the rape is omnipresent in her mind.
