Saving Lauren's Daughter

by Joy Cameron

Monica’s mother had disappeared when she was a small child and with the untimely death of her beloved father, she was truly alone until she had a chance meeting in the park with the movie star gorgeous, Isaac Stevens. At the time, she couldn’t understand why friends and even her employer, the dynamic attorney, Glenn McKendrick, questioned how she could have fallen in love so quickly. Now that her relationship with Isaac had progressed to the point that her friends were no longer in her life and Glenn had become tight-lipped in her presence, she had to wonder the same thing. Where had Isaac come from? What did she really know about him? It was painfully obvious she should have taken the time to learn more before falling headlong into this disastrous marriage.

Most importantly, she needed to know why he had an aversion to the mention of her mother. How could he possibly know anything about Lauren when she knew so little? She had reached the point where she needed answers, and fast, if she was going to survive.

Author of Gabe and the Mystery Light.

Joy was born in Bangor, Maine, educated in Bangor schools and worked as an administrative assistant in the medical field before retiring and moving to Florida with her husband. She returned to work in an elementary school, and found that being surrounded all day by children, who were always so excited to tell her about the latest book they were reading, strengthened her resolve to finish her story. She enjoys writing, painting with acrylics, and travelling with her husband, especially back to Maine.
