The author, a Boston-trained artist, has been a Maine islander for 26 years. She lived 22 years on Friendship Long Island, an unspoiled off -the-grid “Eden” she shared with 3 other year-round residents and crows. On Cousins Island, she researched and befriended the local crow “murder” (fl ock). This book is a treatise on Corvid eminence, written by Edgar Allan Crow himself.
