This story is told from the seal pup’s perspective.It is based on the author Nan Lincoln’s real-life experience, which she also wrote about, from her own perspective, in her chapter book The Summer of Cecily.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Nan Lincoln has been a journalist and former arts editor for three award-winning Maine newspapers for more than 30 years. She lives in Bass Harbor with her dog Viola. When they walk along the shore, Nan will usually call out, “Cecily!” and often a curious seal’s head will pop up. She likes to think it might be one of Cecily’s grandpups.
